If you find yourself trapped in the hot desert and spot a lizard carrying an autocannon on its back galloping, there's no need to doubt your eyes. It's not a hallucination born of the desert heat—it's a Sand Rover Lizard Cannon Carriage, come to pillage you.
Though the Lizard Cannon Carriage is in fact the most mobile vehicle to be found on the desert sands, from the outside it appears a makeshift thing hastily thrown together, not unlike the well-worn patchwork art of the desert Reptilis tribes.
Remarkably, its skeleton was salvaged from Arche ruins; the ancient technology remains flexible and sturdy. Even should its patchwork covering and the Reptilis bandits it carries tumble off as the result of a counterattack, it can still discard its exterior and nimbly make its escape with its core intact.
Thanks to its astonishing resilience, the Lizard Cannon Carriage is frequently chosen to carry a mob of Reptilis bandits out on their raids. It's armed with a hodgepodge of fixed machine guns collected from all over; its firepower is dramatically increased by the installation of multiple machine gun mounts covertly provided by the Karsten Republic. Its exceptional mobility enables it to run down merchant caravans, at which point the bandits it carries jump down, weapons in hand, and attack from all sides. Add to that the liberal application of the Lizard Cannon Carriage's agile firepower, and the victim is soon forced to surrender.
With machine gun mounts installed, it excels at both attack and escape, making it perfect for unpredictable raiding. Thanks to its salvaged Arche skeleton, it can easily be assembled in a Reptilis tribe workshop, with very little in the way of maintenance needed afterwards. As such, it has become the primary combat vehicle of the Sand Rovers. The Republic of Karsten, known for its military might, appropriates them from the Reptilis tribes for use in desert special operations.
